A rescue & sanctuary for all small animals - no matter their needs.
Our Impact.
The Pipsqueakery focuses on the sanctuary care of animals with complex medical conditions. While our impact can certainly be measured in the number of lives we save we hope it will also be measured by the number of people we educate and other rescues we assist.
20+
RESCUES ASSISTED.
We work with animal rescues all over the U.S. and Canada to put our resources to work where they can do the most good. We believe in strong relationships with our partner rescues!
7+
YEARS SERVING COMMUNITIES & ANIMALS.
The Pipsqueakery has been serving communities all around the world through small animal rescue and education for more than 7 years!
1000+
ANIMALS SAVED.
While we have directly rescued more than 1000 animals, our use of resources for sanctuary animals has helped our partner rescues save even more lives.
Our Programs.
SANCTUARY ANIMALS
The primary focus of The Pipsqueakery is providing sanctuary care to animals with complex medical needs. We strive to develop individual plans that prioritize accommodating the special needs of each animal to allow them to live a fulfilling life as independently as possible. If you need to surrender a pet, please fill out a surrender form. We get innumerable surrender requests every day and accept surrenders based on circumstances, urgency & resources.
VETERINARY ADVANCES
The Pipsqueakery has an on-site veterinarian & staff to treat the animals in our care. By working with our veterinarians to treat some of the most difficult and unique cases, we advance veterinary medicine for all rodents and rabbits.
ANIMAL ADOPTION
When The Pipsqueakery has healthy adoptable animals surrendered, we work to find the best placement for that individual animal. Sometimes, that means adopting the animal to an excellent home, and other times it means transferring it to another animal rescue. If you are interested in adoption please visit our adoption page! We are located in Bloomington Indiana.
SMALL ANIMAL CARE EDUCATION
We believe that we can have the greatest impact by educating the public on the needs of each of the species we handle, and we take this job very seriously. Through our local & online outreach, we impact the lives of thousands of small animals we may never even meet. We specialize primarily in rabbits, rats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs & other small animals.
